televised_masses_thumbnail.jpgWith concerns over a resurgence in coronavirus cases, particularly in the four counties of the Diocese of Greensburg, diocesan leaders have decided to televise Christmas Masses to engage the faithful at home.  A Christmas Vigil Mass from Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg celebrated by the Cathedral Rector, Monsignor Raymond E. Riffle, will be broadcast at 2:00 PM on Christmas Eve.  Our Diocesan Administrator, Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, will celebrate a Mass from Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, which will be broadcast at 10:00 AM on Christmas DayBoth Masses will air on PCNC, the Pittsburgh Cable News Channel.  Christmas Day Mass will also air at Noon on WPXI Channel 11.

Week of Grace

week_of_grace_thumbnail.jpgDuring The Week of Grace, prepare your soul for the grace that comes with the birth of Christ. Extended opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation are happening at every parish community throughout the Diocese of Greensburg. For a list of Penance Services, confession times and locations, please visit www.DioceseofGreensburg.org/WeekofGrace.

While following all COVID-19 safety protocols for confessions and Penance Services during The Week of Grace, we realize many still will not feel comfortable gathering at their Parish. That is why the Diocese is also offering additional resources, which can also be found at www.DioceseofGreensburg.org/WeekofGrace including videos about importance of making a confession, preparing for confession and guide on making a confession by Father E. George Saletrick, pastor of St. Regis Parish, Trafford along with Christie Smith, Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Greensburg.
